Johannes, Prince of Thurn and Taxis (born 5 June 1926 in Regensburg, Germany - 14 December 1990 in Munich-Großhadern).
His father was Karl August, Prince of Thurn and Taxis and his mother was Maria Anna von Braganca. He had two older sister and one younger brother.
The Thurn and Taxis family came to massive media attention during the late-1970s through mid-1980s when late Prince Johannes married the younger Countess Mariae Gloria of Schönburg-Glauchau, a member of an impoverished noble family. The couple's wild, "jet set" lifestyle and Princess Gloria's over-the-top appearance (characterized by bright hair color and flashy clothes) earned her the nickname [http://www.vanityfair.com/fame/features/2006/06/princesstnt200606 Princess TNT] (also referred to as "Princess TNT, the dynamite socialite" according to the June 2006 edition of Vanity Fair Magazine). In the 1970s was the student Philipp von Studnitz a good friend of Johannes, before Johannes married. Johannes made in the 1970s jet-set partys and was often seen in gay discos. On 31. May 1980 Johannes, Prince of Thurn and Taxis married Gloria of Schönburg-Glauchau. They had three children:
* "Maria Theresia Ludowika Klothilde Helene Alexandra" (* 28 November, 1980 in Regensburg)
* "Elisabeth Margarete Maria Anna Beatriz" (* 24 March, 1982 in Regensburg),
* "Albert (II.) Maria Lamoral Miguel Johannes Gabriel" (* 24 June, 1983 in Regensburg)
Since 1982, after the death of his father, was Johannes the leader of Thurn and Taxis. On 14 December 1990 Johannes died in Munich-Großhadern.
