Kay managed to reach the final of the competition, however losing out to Carol Vorderman and her family, in a special edition of "Family Fortunes".

Television bosses were reportedly so impressed with Kay's performance on the show, that they announced plans to revive "Family Fortunes" with Kay as the host; the first episode aired on 28 October 2006.
