Bill Hinman is a former Australian rules footballer who played with University. He had a long military career in World War I, and won the Military Cross in 1917. France also awarded him the Croix de guerre and he received the Order of Leopold from Belgium, before becoming a lawyer in Hobart after the war was over. Brother of Arthur Hinman.
