Tiferes Adam

Tiferes Adam

Tiferes Adam (Hebrew: תפארת אדם, lit. "Glory of Man") is a persuasive pamphlet that was written by Rabbi Yisrael Meir Kagan stressing the importance of Jewish men to have a beard and peyos. It attempts to reveal what the rabbinic perspective has historically been in respect to this matter, and to demonstrate that one who is cautious in the various prohibitions concerning marring the beard will be rewarded both in this world and the World to Come.
