John Dennis McCallum (born 1924) was a sportswriter, as well as a writer on strength training topics. Married to television and movie actress Marjie Millar from 1960 to ?.
As a sportswriter, McCallum wrote books on a variety of topics. One of his most famous works is "The Tiger Wore Spikes", a biography of baseball Hall of Famer Ty Cobb (A.S. Barnes, 1956).
In strength training, McCallum is most famous for his "Keys to Progress" magazine series, which ran in "Strength & Health" magazine from 1965 to 1972. The series has has been collected and republished by IronMind as the book "". Reprints of McCallum's columns have been a regular feature in "Milo" since October, 1993.[cite magazine |first=Randall J.|last=Strossen|authorlink=Randall J.
