Minden, Germany] Việt Võ Đạo (越武道) is the philosophy behind many Vietnamese martial arts.

:Việt (越) "to transcend" or "transcendence", derivative of the country name Vietnam.:Võ (武) "martial art":Đạo (道) "the way", the path one takes; "the method" or "the principle"

During and after the Vietnam war, many Vietnamese martial artists got scattered in a diaspora. The "Việt Võ Đạo Federation" was founded November 3rd, 1973 in order to re-unite some Vietnamese martial arts:

* Thien mon dao ( Thien mon dao Viet Vo Dao)
* Cuu mon ( Cuu mon Viet Vo Dao)
* Qwan Ki Do (Quan Ky Viet Vo Dao)
* Bach Hac (Viet Vo Dao)
* Thanh Long Viet Vo Dao (Ascending Dragon)
* Vovinam (Vovinam Viet Vo Dao) Therefore "Việt Võ Đạo" is also used as a generic term for certain Vietnamese martial arts and philosophies.

In continuation Việt Võ Đạo becomes "Nhan Võ Đạo", the philosophy behind the martial art of "all" human beings.
