Hazardous Weather Outlook

In National Weather Service (NWS) terminology, a Hazardous Weather Outlook is a weather statement issued to provide information of potential severe weather events within the next seven days. The outlook may include information about potential severe thunderstorms, heavy rain or flooding, winter weather, extremes temperatures. CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS EXIST THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS THEAREA...WITH BETTER CHANCES ACROSS CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA. A FEWTHUNDERSTORMS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE INTO THE EVENING HOURS. ANY STORMSTHAT FORM ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BE SEVERE AND THE MAIN THREAT WILLBE LIGHTNING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING AS ASTRONG COLD FRONT TRACKS EAST ACROSS THE AREA. A FEW STORMS COULDBE ON THE STRONG SIDE WITH SMALL HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS.
