Komoodo

Kimoodo is an asian martial art, which is also known as „The Healing Art“. Kimoodo has its roots in the ancient asian martial arts integrated within oriental healing arts, an aspect of which has been used in Asia for more than 5,000 years to maintain a healthy mind and body and rejuvenate injury or illness.

The healing art

Kimoodo is very holistic and designed to convert toxic energies to life energies through the cultivation of heaven energy (air, oxygen), earth energy (food and water) and human energy (blood and mind). The practitioner’s mind, body, spirit and emotions are ment to work together harmoniously to overcome injuries, illnesses and hardships in life. To reach that result Kimoodouses 3 main techniques: Meditative breathing (called power breathing), stretching (called power stretching) and positive mind-conversion training (called power mind).

Target audience

Kimoodo is a viable rehabilitation system for all ages and professions regardless of the extent of one’s current condition, and it is based on the dynamics of martial-arts principles.

The founder

Kimoodo was founded by Sr. Grandmaster Joon P. Choi (Grandmaster of Taekwondo, 9. Dan) who was born 1946. In his childhood he had to flee from North Korea to a refugee camp where his uncle taught him the martial art Taekwondo. Since then he was totally into martial arts. Now he has gotten the 9th Dan, the highest grading. He has developed his own style of Taekwondo, opened several Taekwondo schools in the United States and finally founded Kimoodo. Currently he is travelling all over the world teaching Kimoodo in several martial arts schools.
