This is a list of American Philosophers of African decent. Thus far, the American Philosophical Association does not keep any record of how many of its 10,000 North American members are people of color. Anna Stubblefield, who heads the Association's Committee on Blacks and Philosophy, estimates that about 100 of the academic philosophers are Black. Kathryn T.
