Santo António dos Olivais

Santo António dos Olivais (Olivais for short) is a civil parish ("freguesia") of the municipality of Coimbra, in Portugal. It is the most populated "freguesia" in the city of Coimbra, with 19,13 km², and 40,000 inhabitabts. The "freguesia" was created in 1863. It is named after Saint Anthony of Lisbon, who joined the Order of Friars Minor in honor of Saint Anthony the Great, to whom its Franciscan hermitage based in the current civil parish, was dedicated.
