Ann Hood

Ann Hood (born 1956 in West Warwick RI) is an award-winning American novelist and short story writer; she has also written nonfiction. The author of thirteen books, her essays and short stories have appeared in many journals and magazines, including "The Paris Review, Ploughshares," and "Tin House." She is the recipient of the Paul Bowles Prize for Short Fiction, two Pushcart Prizes, and a Best American Spiritual Writing Award. Hood lives in Providence, RI with her husband and their children.
