Tom Piatak

Tom Piatak (born March 12, 1964) is a Roman Catholic conservative writer who has written articles for "Chronicles Magazine", "Taki's Magazine", "The American Conservative" magazine, and VDARE. He is a contributing editor of "Chronicles Magazine" and "Taki's Magazine". He resides in Cleveland, Ohio with his wife, Valerie.

War on Christmas

Tom Piatak is best known for his war on Christmas articles for VDARE. His first article about the War on Christmas appeared in 2001. [] Many (but not all) of Piatak's articles on Christmas are contained in his archive at VDARE. [] He also participated in the NPR radio show "On Point" in 2003 discussing the War on Christmas. [] Piatak's efforts on the War on Christmas have been cited by Pat Buchanan, [] Sam Francis, [] and Immigration Watch Canada. []

Christopher Hitchens

Mr. Piatak has been highly critical of Christopher Hitchens' leftism and atheism. [] [] Joe Sobran praises Piatak's review of Hitchens' latest work, saying, "I’ve already written enough about Christopher Hitchens’s truly obtuse atheist tract "god Is Not Great", but I can’t drop the subject without mentioning Tom Piatak’s amazing review on Taki’s Top Drawer. I’d rather be mauled by a lion than deserve such a notice." [] Steve Sailer also comments on Piatak's review, noting that it is one of the few negative reviews the book has received. []
