Tagore International School

Tagore International School was founded by Dr. Mrs. H. Sen in 1964 with the aim of creating a free atmosphere where children develop their personality to the fullest extent. Named after Rabindranath Tagore, it envisions an education that is deeply rooted in one’s immediate surroundings but connected to the cultures of the wider world, predicated upon pleasurable learning and individualized to the personality of the child. The first branch came up in Lajpat Nagar, and thereafter in Vasant Vihar, East of Kailash and DLF.
The schools are run by the Tagore Education Society, a society founded by Dr. Mrs. Hari Sen & Mr. Jitender Sen in 1964.

Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar

Established in 1972 by Dr. Mrs. H. Sen, TISVV aims at creating an environment where children develop their personality and pursue self learning. It is an English Medium Senior Secondary School.

The School philosophy is well illustrated in Rabindranath Tagore's words "I was brought up in an atmosphere of aspiration, aspiration for the expansion of the human spirit. We in our home sought freedom of power in our language, freedom of imagination in our literature freedom of soul in our religious creeds, and that of mind in our social environment. Such an opportunity has given me confidence in the power of education which is one with life and only which can give us real freedom, the highest that is claimed for man, his freedom of moral communion in the human world".

Tagore International School, East of Kailash

It is an institution which constantly endeavours to excel in every field is strategically located in between the posh colonies of Greater Kailash , South Extension, Defence Colony, Sadiq Nagar, Kailash Hills, and East of Kailash. The salubrious surroundings with the school sharing its wall with a nursery give it a conducive environment for the nurturing of young impressionable minds.

Tagore International School, DLF

Tagore International School opened its third branch in DLF City, Gurgaon, in July 1998. The school is located in a salubrious and pollution free environment and is housed in an impressive building with well-lit classrooms. The mission of the school is to foster the force of self within the individual in order to produce good citizens by developing ‘desirable traits & characteristics-that intangible something, which is called personality’.

The school stresses on the all-round development of each student while helping the student to discover himself from within. There is freedom of thought and expression for every child to enable him discern the right from wrong. The ethos of the school is to imbibe such values in each child that will help him cross all hurdles and barriers of life. The school is committed to ensure academic excellence with result oriented coaching whenever required.

Above all, the aim is to produce confident and self-equipped individuals, who are good human beings and pay respect to others’ right. It is a Secondary School comprising Classes I to X. There is a Pre-Nursery, Nursery and KG also. The school is commencing with Class XI in March 2007, offering Science and Commerce as options of study. The curriculum is balanced between academic rigour and extracurricular activities.
