- Gray Marine Engine
Gray was an important marine engine builder. It built gasoline engines ranging from one to six cylinders in both gas andlater diesel layouts which were used in pleaure and work boats. Gray was American based firm, hailing from Detroit and worked it from about 1910 until the 1970s.Many fishboats, lobsterboats, tugs and pleasure craft had Gray engines in them. Boats were of small size ranging from 12 to 32 feet usually.
