The Dancer's Body

The Dancer's Body

In May 2002, filming began for the short BBC series "A Dancer's Body", staring former principle dancer of the Royal Ballet School in London, Deborah Bull.

The short series featured Deborah returning to Skegness, where she first took a dance lesson at the Janice Sutton School of Dance, in a room above what is now Ling's Amusements down Skegness High Street. In this epidode, Deborah returned to the spot where she took her first lesson with Janice Sutton herself. After a few moments of reminiscing, Deborah began a simple ballet sequence, completed by 7-year-old Janice Sutton pupil Rebecca Ellis. She played the role of Deborah, aged 7.
