The 2009 Masters Tournament will be the 73rd Masters Tournament held at Augusta National Golf Club, and is scheduled to be played from April 9-12, 2009. This will be the first major of the 2009 season.

Field

The Masters has the smallest field of the major championships. Officially the Masters remains an invitation event but there is now a qualification process, although in theory the club could simply decline to invite a 'qualified' player. Here is a list of all 72 players who have qualified to play in the 2009 Masters Tournament. Each player is classified according to the first category by which he qualified, but other categories are shown in parentheses: [cite web|url=http://www.masters.org/en_US/bios/tournament_2009.html |title=2009 Tournament Invitees |publisher=masters.org |accessdate=2009-08-20]
