Stuart Hetley Price

Stuart Hetley Price (1922-1977) was the inaugural Bishop of Doncaster who was later translated to Ripon [The Times, Thursday, Mar 25, 1976; pg. 18; Issue 59662; col B "Court Circular- New Bishop of Ripon sworn in"] . Educated at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge [“Who was Who” 1897-1990 London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 071363457X] he was ordained in 1945. His first post was as Curate at "St Michael and All Angels", Bournemouth [ [ http://www.stjohnstmichael.org.uk/node/11 Church web-site] ] , after which he was Domestic Chaplain to the Bishop of Manchester. He was then successively Secretary to the SCM; Rector of Didsbury; a Canon Residentiary at Manchester Cathedral and, his final post before elevsation to the episcopate,Archdeacon of Manchester [The Times, Wednesday, Mar 16, 1977; pg. 18; Issue 59953; col F "The Right Rev S.
