Sibel Özkan

Sibel Özkan is a Turkish weightlifter. She specialized in the Women's 48kg. She was born on 3rd March, 1988. She is 1.55m high and weighs 48kg.

Achievements and honours

After coming fourth in the snatch event at the 2007 World Weightlifting Championships - Women's 48 kg, she won her first Olympics silver medal in the Beijing Summer Olympics on 9th August, 2008,event held at the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics Gymnasium on Day 1 of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games ,coming second to the then winner of the 2007 World Weightlifting Championships - Women's 48 kg; Xiexia ChenSibel won the silver medal in the 2008 Olympics with 88kg in the Snatch and a successful 111kg in the Clean and Jerk for a 199kg total.
