Zakiya is an
African-American femalesinger , who in 1997, scored a minor R&B hit with "My Love Won't Fade Away" on DV8/A&M Records. Her self-titled debut also included her first single "Love Like Mine", as well as "When The Last Teardrop Falls" (which would later be covered by the R&B trioBlaque ). She would soon record her follow-up album, but that project would be shelved during the corporate restructuring ofA&M Records in the late 1990s. A EP of a few of the songs was released to radio DJs and can be found on eBay every now and then. She currently is not pursuing her recording career.Singles
