Justin Allgaier (born June 6, 1986 to Mike and Dorothy Allgaier) drives the Allgaier Racing, Ag-Tech, Hoosier Tire Midwest #16 Chevrolet in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, and occasionally drives the #63 Dave Porter Truck Sales Ford F-Series in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. He was recently signed to drive a handfull of NASCAR Nationwide Series races for Penske Racing in the 2008 and 2009 NASCAR racing seasons. He married Ashley Hanson in March, 2006.

Racing History

Allgaier is from Riverton, Illinois. He has raced in the ARCA series since 2004, where he has earned one Pork Pole Award setting a track record at Springfield, Illinois in 2005. In 2006, Allgaier made history again at the Illinois State Fairgrounds Racetrack in Springfield by earning his first ARCA victory becoming the first Springfield area resident to win in the 72 year history of championship auto racing at the fairgrounds. In 2007, he won two features in a midget car at Angell Park Speedway and placed 3rd in the Chili Bowl behind Tony Stewart and JJ Yeley.

2008

On April 13, 2008, Justin recorded his first ARCA RE/MAX Series victory of the 2008 season at the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 by Federated Auto Parts race at Salem Speedway in Salem, Indiana. On August 9, 2008 at the Toyota ARCA 150 race held at the Nashville Superspeedway, Justin drove the Venturini Motorsports/CJM Racing Carfax #16 in what was termed an "on-track audition." In an eventful race, which saw him spun out of the lead, Justin placed a respectable 8th, after falling to 16th as a result of the spin. Justin won a POWRi midget feature at his "home track," Macon Speedway on August 16, 2008. On August 30th, at the Southern Illinois State Fair, Justin scored a win in his USAC midget. The next day, September 1, 2008, Justin finished a disappointing 16th in the ARCA RE/MAX Series Southern Illinois 100.http://www.justinallgaier.com/pages/scheduleresults.html]

On September 28, 2008, Justin won the inaugural Loud Energy Drink 150 at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey. [http://arcaracing.com/schedule.cfm?contentid=1233&display=event_results] He followed that up with a win the next week, October 3, 2008 with another victory at Talladega Superspeedway in the Food World 250. The back-to-back wins were his 4th and 5th ARCA RE/MAX Series victories of the year, and his first career road course and restrictor plate wins. The Talladega victory was also Allgaier's first in a Dodge, and was powered by a Penske Racing Dodge engine. As of that point in the season, Justin had a series-leading 5 wins, and was 3rd in points, 105 points behind points leader, Scott Speed.

On October 10, 2008 Justin attempted to qualify the Penske Racing-owned, Penske Truck Rental Dodge #12 for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Dollar General 300 at Lowes Motor Speedway. He qualified 14th with a time of 30.041 seconds, and a speed of 179.754 mph.
Justin's NASCAR Nationwide Series debut ended early at lap 125. Allgaier had finally made his way into the top 10, when Jeff Green spun and went airborne in front of Justin. Allgaier got clipped and was sent towards the outside wall when Steven Wallace came careening across the track after making contact with Green's car and the wall. 2009

On September 18, 2008 it was announced Allgaier would drive a limited schedule in 2008 and 2009 in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for Penske Racing.
