Tafsir Qudsi

Tafsir Qudsi

Tafsir Qudsi ( _ar. تفسير قدسي) (or Sacred Tafsir) are a form of Tafsir, or Qur'anic commentary.

Introduction

Muslims believe that in the same way that there is Hadith Qudsi, God has revealed commentaries to the Qur'an. Often, they have the same form as the verse it is commentating on, but has an addition to the end - in other words, a verse followed by a commentary.

It is a well-known Muslim belief that Hadith Qudsi are also revelations, but they are not a part of the Qur'an.
