Mean Green Village

Mean Green Village

Mean Green Village is the name of the athletic village on campus of the University of North Texas (UNT). Mean Green Village is built on the site of the former Eagle Point Golf Course, adjacent to the main campus. [1] [2] [3] Since 2002, several buildings have been completed (including the Athletic Department offices, as well as softball and soccer fields), though the area itself is still a work in progress.

The crown jewel of Mean Green Village will is Apogee Stadium, UNT's new football stadium. The new stadium seats 30,850 fans and has 24 luxury boxes. It will also be the nations first "green" (i.e. LEED) stadium. Unlike Fouts Field, there will be no track forcing the fan seating away from the field.

The area is located across Interstate Highway 35E, south of the UNT campus.
