Peder Jensen Fauchald (15 November 1791 - 1 July 1856) was a Norwegian politician.
He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament in 1830, 1833, 1836, 1839, 1842 1845, 1848 and 1851, representing the rural constituency of "Christians Amt" (today named

Østre Toten . He was known as a radical and liberal politician, advocatingfreedom of religion in general and especially the right of Jews to enter Norway (which was granted in 1851). He befriended such national political and cultural figures asHenrik Wergeland ,Aasmund Olavsson Vinje ,Ivar Aasen ,Eilert Sundt andJonas Anton Hielm . Locally he became mayor of Østre Toten municipality in 1837, was appointed county auditor, and founded the localsavings bank .
