Raffles Resort Canouan Island

Raffles Resort Canouan Island is a luxury hotel owned by the international hotel chain known as Raffles Hotels and Resorts and is one of two resorts on the Caribbean island (though a third is on the way). The resort is set on 300 acres of a 1200-acre private estate that includes three secluded beaches that are surrounded by one of the world’s largest coral reefs. Raffles Resort Canouan Island is situated on a hill that overlooks the northern Grenadines and is home to the Trump Club Privee, a European styled casino as well as La Varenne – a European Gourmet restaurant and a ballroom. The resort has received praise from BRIDE’s Magazine, Condé Nast Traveler, Robb Report, and has been nominated for 3 World Travel Awards. This golf club was declared the best Golf club in 2005 by Robb Report and presents a fairly unique golfing experience on the tiny island. The resort features 156 rooms in total all of which the company claims have ‘breathtaking views’. The hotel also stands as a venue for weddings though there is a list of prerequisites in order for a marriage to take place on the island. The resort has been classified as 4 Star and the response to the resort has generally been favorable as evidenced by reviews on travel sites such as Trip Advisor where Raffles Resort Canouan Island has been rated 4 out 5.
