Khalid Amayreh

Khalid Amayreh (b. 1957 Hebron) is a Palestinian journalist based in Dura, the Hebron district. He did his university degrees in the United States: BA in Journalism at University of Oklahoma, 1981; MA in Journalism, University of Southern Illinois, 1983. Amayreh is barred from leaving the West Bank at all, and he is prohibited from entering Jerusalem, mainly because of his outspoken opposition to Israeli apartheid and occupation.

He is most well known for his support for the two-state solution whereby Jews and Arabs can live together in peace. Amayreh has also been a peace activist advocating non-violent resistance to end Israel's Nazi-like occupation of Palestine.

In his writings, Amayreh doesn't hesitate to call the spade a spade. He often likens the Israeli occupation of his country to the Nazi occupation of Europe. He convincingly argues that when Jews, or any other people, behave and act like Nazis, they should be treated as Nazis. Hence, his book "the Nazis of our time: The Israeli holocaust against the Palestinians" should be an eye-opner for Europeans and North Americans who have been brainwashed by Zionist propaganda with regard to the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Amayreh does make a distinction though between Judaism, a respected religion, and Zionism, a hateful and racist political movement based on the erroneous concept of Jewish supremacy.

Amayreh is politically independent and is not affiliated with any Palestinian political movement.you can visit Amayreh's webpage: "www.xpis.is"
