The Delegation of the European Commission to the United States is located in Washington, DC. It was established to facilitate relations between the European Commission and the United States. It is located at 2300 M Street, NW, Washington, DC 20037.

Though technically not an embassy, the head of mission has the status of ambassador. The current (2008) ambassador is John Bruton. History

The mission, opened in 1954, was the first external presence of the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), the forerunner of the European Union.
