The Draw

* The draw will be held in Oman on 15 October, 2008.

* Eight teams will be divided into two groups, Oman (The host nation) will be in group A, The UAE (The holder) in group B, while the rest of the teams will be placed in a pot based on October 2008's FIFA ranking.

* Oman will play the opening match at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.
