Wang Fu (painter)

Wáng Fú (Wang Fu, traditional: 王紱, simplified: 王绂); ca. 1362-1416 was a Chinese landscape painter, calligrapher , and poet during the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644).

Wang was born in Wuxi in the Jiangsu provincecite web|url=http://www.china-on-site.com/pages/painter/1064.php|title=Wang Fu Brief Biography|accessdate=2008-07-09] . His style name was 'Mengduan' and his sobriquets were 'Youshi, Jiulong shanren, and Aoshou'. Wang's painting followed the style of Wang Meng and Ni Zan. Wang also painted ink bamboo works in a free and uninhibited style.
