Jaime Omar Garcia (born July 8, 1986 in city-state|Reynosa|Mexico) is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Professional career

Garcia was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 22nd round of the 2005 MLB Draft. He was called up to the Majors from Triple-A Memphis on July 10, mlby|2008 and made his debut relieving on July 11 against the Pittsburgh Pirates, pitching two innings, giving up just one hit, walking one, and striking out two.

On September 5, 2008, it was announced that Garcia would undergo Tommy John surgery and will miss most if not all of the 2009 season.
