- James Haldane Stewart Lockhart
Sir James Haldane Stewart Lockhart KCMG (1858–1937) was a British colonial official in
Hong Kongand Chinafor more than 40 years. He attended King William's College(1868-72) and the University of Edinburghand then took a Hong Kong cadetship in 1878. He was Registrar Generaland Colonial Secretary of Hong Kong, and later became Commissioner of Weihaiwei, the British coastal enclavereturned to China in 1930. Lockhart Road(駱克道) in Wan Chai, Hong Kong Islandis named after him.
