Salim al-Shaikhi (Arabic: سالم الشيخي) (born October 1, 1964CE, Jumada al-awwal 24, 1384 AH) is currently the Imam at Didsbury Mosque [ [http://www.southmanchesterreporter.co.uk/news/s/366556_true_meaning_of_islam True meaning of Islam - News - South Manchester Reporter ] ] , West Didsbury.

Salim al-Shaikhi was born in Al Bayda', Libya [ [http://www.didsburymosque.com/friday/cv.htm السيرة الذاتية ] ] , and completed his primary education in Libya. He graduated from Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia and later received a Diploma from Omdurman Islamic University, Sudan. He is a member of the European Council for Fatwa and Research and also teaches modules relating to Islamic Personal Status Law and Inheritance at the European Institute of Human Sciences (EIHS).
