Otakuオタク Magazine Is a bimonthly magazine, published by Xvolve Publishing, which covers aspects of "otaku" lifestyle (such as anime, manga, video games, various hobbies (such as model building, cosplay and fan art), Japanese music such as Japanese popular music and J-Rock, and various aspects of Japanese culture).

Otakuオタク Magazine began publication in South Africa in October 2005.

The Otaku Team

Otakuオタク Magazine's staff are represented in the magazine as characatures of themselves with each of their favourite anime/manga/cultural influences. These caricatures populate the magazine in various parodies of otaku culture, especially in the comic strip at the end of every issue.The original ten members of the Otaku Team are:
*ZeroJ parodying Fist of the North Star and Super Mario
*TU parodying Unit 2 from Neon Genesis Evangelion and Mobile Suit Gundam
*DaRC
*Ppenguin parodying Kakashi from Naruto and Lain from Serial Experiments Lain
*Kharrak parodying Tachikoma from Ghost in the Shell and Canti from FLCL
*JamJam parodying a Night Elf from the World of Warcraft
*Meaglin parodying Gantz and Laughing man from Ghost in the Shell
*Serpent parodying City Hunter
*KnightGainax parodying gaming in general as well as Ghouls 'n Ghosts
*Tweak parodying Kingdom Hearts and Eureka Seven
