- Bray-Dunes
Bray-Dunes ("Brayduinen" in Dutch) is a village and commune of the Nord "département", in
Flanders ,France , at the Belgian border. It is the northernmost commune, and includes the northernmost point in all of France. (Geographic coordinates are 51° 04' 18" N, 02° 31' 42" E.) As of the 1999 census it had a population of 4,557 inhabitants. The land area of the commune is 8.57 km² (3.309 sq mi).Bray-Dunes was the site of many casualties during
World War II , as part of theDunkirk evacuation .Robbie Turner, a protagonist in
