Yomo (born Jose Alberto Torres Aberu) raised in the barrio of Tres Puntos, Humacao, Puerto Rico,but born in Chicago, Illinois. Before becoming a professional artist, he used to work as a handyman on Puerto Rico's Palmas del Mar Beach.

Musical career

While Don Omar and Daddy Yankee were crossing over into the pop international hits "Reggaetón Latino" and "Gasolina", respectively, Yomo was still developing in reggaeton breeding ground. He first started to work with Master Joe & O.G. Black and appeared in their cd Sabotage. His first taste of success came in the form of the hot single 'Déjale Caer To' El Peso', which charted in the Top 40 of Latin Hot Tracks in 2006. His song featured on the 2006 compilation album Sangre Nueva, which was composed by reggaeton veteran Hector "El Father" and producer Naldo (producer) to promote new, up-and-coming talent. Yomo was also friends with reggaeton artist Tempo as he and Yomo sung in My Destiny. Also Tempo, Yomo , and Hector El Father as sung in dissing tracks torward Don Omar. Yomo is preparing for his first album "My Destiny" (formerley entitled as El Cuarto Bate). Yomo is now signed with Black Pearl International Records.
