Bear flag (LGBT movement)

Bear flag (LGBT movement)

The International Bear Brotherhood Flag was designed in 1995 by Craig Byrnes. The Bear flag was designed to represent the Brotherhood of Bears, named for the gay slang term "bear".

The colours of the flag denote the various colours of male hair, as the growth of hair, such as chest or facial hair, is typically considered a 'bear trait'.
