Johan Skålberg

Johan Skålberg is one of the first [http://www.inayanmartialarts.com/news/inayan_news_sept07.html pioneers] of Filipino Martial Arts in Sweden and Northern Europe. He has dedicated his life to the martial arts and teaches and learn from all over the world.

He brought Modern Arnis to Sweden 1983 together with his Jujitsu trainer [http://www.ronin.se/readarticle.php?article_id=13 Uno Feldthusen] . They worked together with the [http://www.presas.org IPMAF] organization and DAV through Dieter Knüttel. They started the first Arnis club in Sweden and did endless seminars to promote, learn and develop the club. Today Johan Skålberg is Chief Instructor for [http://kombatan.se/ Kombatan Europe] and ranked as an 8th Dan Grand Master by [http://www.presasarnis.com/kombatan/news.htm Great Grand Master Ernesto A Presas] .

In 1992 he met [http://www.bobbreen.co.uk/ Bobby Breen] - Kali JKD and Jeff Espinous - [http://kalisikaran.com/ Kali Sikaran] . They started to cooperate and organized the first European [http://ikaef.com/english/index.html Kali-Arnis-Eskrima] Championships in London 1993.

They also founded the European Kali Arnis Eskrima Federation 1993 with the purpose to promote the Philippine Martial Arts around Europe. The organization has grown into the International Kali Arnis Eskrima Federation [http://ikaef.com/english/index.html IKAEF] with more than 18 countries affiliated where Johan Skålberg today is President.

At the first European Championships Johan Skålberg won both the Single- and Double stick full contact heavyweight division. In 1994 he won the World Championships in Cebu City/Philippines in full contact single stick light heavyweight division

During the years he researched more FMA (Filipino Martial Arts) and introduced and promoted [http://www.inayanmartialarts.com/gallery.html Inayan Eskrima] and [http://kalisikaran.com/ Kali Sikaran] into the Scandinavian countries. Today Johan Skålberg is teaching and conducting seminars around the world to non-profitable clubs as well as tactical defense. Tactical [http://knifedefence.com knifedefence] and stickdefence is his specialty where he's been training instructors of SWAT, MUSADO, FJS to name a few.

His focus today is to be a teacher and coach of the highest standard to encourage people and team to perform outstanding under extreme circumstances.
