INTI College Sabah is an associate campus of INTI International University College. It is located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. It offers foundation, diploma and degree programmes in business, tourism and information technology. The current student population stands in the 400-500 range.

The college is frequently being accused of violating human rights. Students were not allowed to demonstrate openly at the college.cn|date=July 2008

* DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTING

It is a 2 and a half year course. There are 27 subjects for students to study and to master basic accounting skills, computer skills, and basic business skills. Students also learn basic financing and investments. Once students complete this course, they can jump to 2nd year of a Degree Programme which is collaborated with Conventry University. The advantage of getting this diploma from this course is recognized throughout the world including some universities from New Zealand, U.K., and Australia. * "'ENGLISH IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMME

It is a 15-week course. It is an intensive English course, focusing on the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It is for students who wish to improve their English skills before getting a job or doing a higher level of study.

Students are required to take an internal examinations at the end of the programme which is International ESOL and Spoken ESOL test in order to further their mastery of four of the language skills.After taking the internal exams, students can sit for an external exam from U.K. - City & Guilds Pitman Qualifications Diploma, which is recognized by employers and professional bodies worldwide.

Furthermore, students can enroll into INTI's Certificate, Diploma, or Degree Programmes after doing the English Improvement Programme.

Tourism is one the foundations of our countries economy. Therefore, we are very pleased to introduce this programme to INTI College Sabah and invite all new generations to learn the skill and knowledge about the tourism industry. It is defined as the business of providing information, transportation, accommodations, and other services to travelers. This programme will cover the understanding of the hotel industry that includes food and beverage management, learning new languages such as Mandarin or Japanese, understanding the uniqueness of Asian cultures, how to manage flight reservations, and industrial training in 5-star hotels, resorts, and travel agencies. Locations

INTI COLLEGE SABAH is located at Kota Kinabalu which is near to the airport. It is only takes about fifteen minutes from airport to INTI College Sabah. So, this will be an advantage to international student(s) especially to continue their further studies here.

Besides that, INTI College Sabah has a strartegic location because it is located near to its hostel which is for outstations students and international students. Kota Kinabalu is a small modern city that not crowded and more relax than other big city such as Kuala Lumpur at peninsula Malaysia.

Other than that, Kota Kinabalu has many choices of food which are malay food, Indian food, Chinese food and local food as well. Moreover, students may spend their semester break to visit nice place such as pretty Manukan Island or climb Mount Kinabalu.

Surrounding

INTI College Sabah has a very good surrounding. INTI College Sabah is located in Putatan area which also surround by other building which includes the shopping malls, restaurants, private company, hypermarket, mini market, handphone shop, stationary suppliers, parking lots, and banks.

Nowadays, Putatan area is quite busy with building new shopping mall such as Putatan Shopping Plaza which can attracts other people not just from Putatan area itself but also from outside Putatan area to come to Putatan and shop here. It is convinients for INTI students to buy all their necessaries things here rather than go to Kota Kinabalu City that will increase their transportation cost.

Near INTI College Sabah, students are easily having their breakfast, lunch, dinner and even their midnight supper at the restaurants here. The restaurants that we can find here serves a lot kind of foods such as malay foods, chinese foods, indian foods or even fast foods. The restaurant that that popular among the INTI students are Restaurant Sinar Mustika, Restaurant Sempelang and Restaurant Sri Keningau, Restaurant Noraini and KFC. The price of the foods are very reasonable and priceless. Some of the restaurants are opened for 24 hours. One or two among this restaurants are providing Wi-Fi so that INTI Student can easily having their foods while onlining, serve the web or even completing their assignments there.

One of the private company that useful to the INTI students is the Private Legal Charttered Lawyer company was located near INTI College Building. It is convinient for the students that need their documents to be bound and cop. Not only that, INTI College sabah also surround by hypermarket such as GIANT Hypermarket and lot of Mini Market. Students can buy all their necessaries here.

The most important things that most of INTI College students demand for more space for parking lots. When Putatan area get more busier, the less parking lots can be found. It is a burden for some of the student which cause them to come a bit late to the class and miss the earlier lectures.

Clubs

Introdution

INTI College Sabah is the place where student go for gain knowledge. The institutions which provide the education must also provide club to be join by student of the institution. This is because this is one of the ways for student to release tension and stress. Through the club, student can be said as balance because they had both education and sport. In Inti College Sabah, the INTIMA had established some clubs for student to join. The clubs included Charity Club, Islamic Club, Basketball Club, Dance Club, Bowling Club, Relax & Recreation Club, Eco Adventure Club, IT Club and INTI Christian Fellowship, Badminton Club, and Soccer club.

Charity Club

Charity club is the one of most active in INTI College Sabah. The establishment for this club is on December 2003 by Ms. Dona Nissanka. The Charity club was existed in INTI College Sabah about five years after INTI College was established.

It was formed with the intention to get students to help the community with charity work such as helping orphanages and old folks. It is also to foster closer relationship among all the student of INTI College Sabah.

There are activities in this club includes runs “Heaven Store” to make profit. Heaven store is a small shop located in the first floor of INTI’s building. In the heaven store, there are sold junk food, such as candy, snacks, maggie and others types of junk food. The profit from the heaven store are then will be donated to the “Rumah Bakti Fajar Harapan” (a place of the special children). Every semester, charity club will be donated to the Rumah Bakti Fajar Harapan to help them in term of their basic needs such food and clothing.

Other activity in charity club is to bring students from all races and religion together to raise funds by selling gifts. For example, during the father’s day, the committee members sold key chains (father’s day theme) to the students. The committees promote the keychain from class to class and in the library. A lot of students are interested to buy the key chains. Every special day such as mother’s day, friendship day, and valentine’s day, the charity club will selling a gifts to make a profit for donation to the orphanages.

Every the end of the semester, the charity club will have a gathering especially for the members of the club. In the gathering there are activities such as games and giving the certificate to the committee members.

Islamic Club

Islamic Welfare Club is the one of club in INTI College Sabah. Islamic Welfare Club was establishment on 14 September 2007 by Pn. Zakiah Hassan. This is the new club existed in INTI College.

Why this club is establishing? First and foremost, this club was established to give them benefits in term of morality. Besides that, the aim of this club is to foster closer relationship among muslim student of INTI College Sabah. It is also to organize activities for all members and non-members in various fields.

There are activities of these club incudes ‘Buka Puasa Gathering’. Usually this activity is conducted during fasting month. This activity also conducted especially for muslim student. Not only for muslim student, the non-muslim student are also invited to join the gathering. From this activity, it able to foster closer among muslim and non-muslim student.

Other activity in Islamic Welfare Club is visit to Islamic Civilization Museum. The aim of this activity is to commemorate the first generation of muslim religion, how they lived, and how they establish the muslim religion. This activity also is open to all students. The museum displays the muslim memorabilia such as artifact.

Recently, Islamic Welfare Club held a competition of ‘Creative Logo Design’. The aim of this competition is to find a suitable lo for Islamic Welfare Club. All students are invites to participate in this contest. The purpose of this competition is to find a suitable logo for Islamic Welfare Club. The suitable logo will be choosing as a logo of Islamic Welfare Club.

Basketball Club

INTI basketball club was created in 1996 to promote healthy activities among INTI students. It was and still be one of the most actively participated clubs by students in college. Over the years, students enjoyed healthy competitions among themselves and enjoyed both friendly and competitive contest with other colleges. Although the committees were generally male, female players were encouraged to join the club and since then have produce 2 capable female presidents. INTI are fortunate to have many school, district, state male and female players to bring the game to higher standard of play and hopefully will serve its purpose for the future student to come. The advisor of the club is Mr. Lawrence Shia.

The Objectives of this club are included to introduce basketball games & competitions, to promote teamwork and leadership skills among basketball players and they also want to create a close rapport among staff players and student players.

The activities of this club are included 3 on 3 basketball competition, 5 on 5 basketball competition, friendly basketball competition, inter-college(3 on 3) basketball competition and friendly staff-student competition.

Bowling Club

Bowling Club in the Inti College Sabah is established since 2003. The advisor of the bowling club is Ms Karen Tan. The main purpose of the bowling club is to bring a student and allow the student from different course or program to get together. At the same times, this game can be introduced to the students. Every semester, this club will conduct the bowling competition for students to join. The competition usually held at the Centerpoint, Kota Kinabalu.

Relax & Recreation Club(R&R Club)

Relax & Recreation club is the new name for the Aerobic club. The advisor of these cludb is Ms Christine Cheah. Every semester, the member of the club will suggest some activities either are outdoor or indoor activities. The recent activity of Relax & Recreation club is the trip to Manukan Island to enjoy. This trip can be joined by both the member of the club and non member of the club but only the fee that paid by member of the club and the non member of the club is different. The, the next activity is cinema fund rising where the club sold the ticket of the movie and the profit that they made is being donated to the Rumah Bakti Harapan. The next activity is the trip to Lok Kawi Zoo. This trip can be joined by either the member or non member of the club.

ECO Adventure Club

ECO Adventure Club was one of the clubs in INTI College Sabah. The purpose of this club is to promote awareness and appreciation to the nature by organizing challenging teambuilding activities.

The activities of this club are teambuilding and leisure outings (e.g. islands, resorts).

IT Club

IT club was one of the clubs in INTI College Sabah. The purpose of this club is to promote the awareness of information Technology among students. Then, IT club also provide a good of communication to exchange knowledge between the lecturer and the students and updates the technology. The activity of the IT club included online gaming and having game competition between INTI students.

INTI Christine Fellowship Club

In INTI College Sabah, an INTI Christine Fellowship Club was established club at January 2007. The intention of this club is it is the best time to get Christian students in the college together to share their faith and to reach out to non-believes. There are many INTI students to join because students can get know with each others. The activity of this club is they are gathering where they sing and praise with God. They share their problems and pray with God. Christian Fellowship club also have games for students to relax. Fellowship builds relationship with God and one another.

Badminton Club

INTI Badminton Club was created in September 2007 to promote healthy activities among INTI students. The objective of this club is to train badminton club member on the skills, rules & regulations of badminton. INTI badminton club also to identified good player(s) who can represents INTI College Sabah for any tournament. Lastly, the purpose of this club is to exercise, to be healthy and also release stress.

The activities of this club are badminton practices, friendly match between colleges and badminton tournament.

Soccer Club

Soccer club in the Inti College Sabah is established since Dec 1996. The advisor of the club is Mr. Daniel Jones. The purpose of the club is to give student extra activities during the free time. Other than that, soccer club intention is to help the student to release tension. The soccer club has many activities included friendly match between the senior member and the junior member of the club, between the college such as Unitar, PTPL, Cosmopoint and etc, and between other private organization such as hotel, bank, and etc. The soccer club in the Inti College Sabah also has organize tournament event between programme (Inter College Tournament) and participated on government sport event such as futsal tournament.

Facilities

Inti College Sabah provides several facilities to students such as classroom, library, hostel, computer lab and etc.

INTI College Sabah provides 12 large classroom with several small classroom for the purpose of club meeting or group disscussion. 1 large classroom can support at least 45 students in one time. For Tourism student, INTI College Sabah has provided 2 classroom. One mock Hotel is provided for Hotel management studens. Four classroms in the second floor is equipped with LCD projectors for IT learning aid and for presentations.

Library is one of facilities provides by INTI College Sabah to students. Inti College Sabah library has many service provides to student such as borrowing book, locker, discussion room, internet service and wireless connection to Internet, opac and online journal. Student can borrow book from library to search more information what the student need so long as the student have student id. If student want to keep something such as books or bag, student can use locker to keep that but the student must have student id when to use locker. In library, two discussion rooms provide to student to use for discussion, revision, assignment or reading.Internet service is provides to student to search what information they need. Wireless connection to internet is also provides to student who use laptop or notebook so they can also connected to the Internet. Library also provide online journal to student to post their journal to the online journal. The student can give comment about the journal that the student have made.

Other facilities in this college is hostel. Hostel is provided especially for international students and also for local students.24 hours security is provided. In this hostel, all rooms are fully furnished with beds, wardrobes,bookshelves, fans or air conditioning.Other facilities include TV, refrigerator and others, such as basketball court that give chance to students that like to play basketball. Student lounge is also provided in this hostel for students have enjoy and fun with a fully air-conditioned place, equipped with sofa, cable TV (Astro), board games such as chess,carom and even a table for table-tennis.

There are several computer labs that many students can use conveniently. There are three classifications of computer labs. The first classification of lab is dell lab. There are twelve personal computers in dell lab that students are allowed to use for entertainment and fun. Sometimes, lecturers use dell lab for lecturing their students. Dell lab also includes a rest room, an information system manager room was set for lab assistant. They operate all the dell lab entity. The different between dell lab and optic lab is that computer from dell lab has been used window vista to carry out whole computers process. The printer in dell lab is DELL Garfield. Dell lab provides a room called Authorized personnel room only for assistants to control proxy server. The second classification is optiplex lab. There are 29 computers in the optiplex lab. All of these computers are usually used window XP to run a window. The printer in optiplex lab is HP Laser Jet 2002. The third classification is optic-s_Lab. There are 16 computers in optic lab. These computers are also used Window XP to go on a window. Laser Jett 2000 has been used in Opti-s_Lab. There is a rest room available. All of these computers in each lab are used dell brand. Students can type http:// icslms.intisabah.com/moodle to search for their lecture notes and email to their lecturers in computer labs. Students want to log in their account by using their own network’s username and password.
