Laura Gallego García (born in
Quart de Poblet onOctober 11 ,1977 ) is a Spanish author of children's literature. At 21 her first novel won the Barco de Vapor Prize and she would win the award a second time for "La Leyenda del Rey Errante", which was translated to English as "The Legend of the Wandering King". Today she lives with her boyfriend in the village of Alboraia orAlboraya , well known for the Valencian typical fresh drinkhorchata .Other novels:

"Chronicles of the Tower," a teenager's fantasy trilogy composed by "The Valley of Wolves, The Master's Curse" and "The Dead's Call", followed by a prequel, "Fenris, the elf".
"Tara's Daughters", a fiction novel.
"The collector of special clocks".
"Fire wings", the story of an angel and warrior.
"The Idhún's Memories", her biggest success, located in a fantastic medieval world called Idhún, an island with three suns and three moons, spins around an old prophecy who predicts than only a dragon and an unicorn could save that world of Ashran The Necromancer's plans. The trilogy is composed by "The Resistance", "Triad" and "Pantheon", where the gods and godesses of Idhún appear like characters for the first time.
"The Empress of Ethereals", located in a frozen world.
"The daughter of the night" is located in XIX's century, in a French cottage. It's a vampires' story.
"Two candles for the devil", her last novel, is about angels and demons. A girl called Cat must find the assasins of her father, and angel called Iah-Hel.
Other titles of Laura Gallego are "Mandrake, Alba has a very special friend, Max doesn't make us laugh..." all of them for younger children.
