Kristu Jayanti College, founded in 1999, is run by "BODHI NIKETAN TRUST", formed by the members of St. Joseph Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), the first indigenous religious congregation in India. This congrigation is the embodiment of the dream and vision of Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara who was a nineteenth century educationist and social reformer in India. The services of Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara have been acknowledged and lauded with gratitude by the Government of India and to honour him, the Government released a postal stamp with his portrait in 1986. The CMI congregation with a membership of 2300, renders its services to the humanity in educational, social, healthcare and other activities aiming the prosperity and well-being of the society. Though Kristu Jayanti College is a minority Institution, it strives to impart quality education without distinction of religion, caste or creed.

Vision & Mission

* Mission- The ideal expressed by the last words of the concluding hymn of Rig-Veda (X,191,4) 'Unity and Concord' 'that you may long together live' is the highest objective of the college. In Kristu Jayanti College, we are imparting an integral training to transform students to genuine citizens for the prosperity of every man and woman in our country. Towards this end, our college is equipped with state of the art facilities synergising both human and mechanical resources. Here, the students work in an integrated environment that enable them to access the resources effectively for their academic purpose. Moreover, Kristu Jayanti College believes in quality and to make this happen, we have an expert team of faculties specialized in imparting proficient and dedicated training to future citizens. Furthermore, we think beyond the syllabus and have incorporated numerous activities to sharpen their intellectual, physiological and aesthetical capabilities.

*Vision- "Light & Prosperity"The specific vision of the college is inscribed in the motto "Light & Prosperity". It aims at 'Jothir Sarodayaya' - enlightenment for the well-being of all. It represents the insight that Kristu Jayanti is a dawn upon us to give light to those who sit in darkness and abundance of life and prosperity to those who are in the shadow of poverty and illiteracy.
