Paul V. Johnson

Paul Vere Johnson (born 24 June 1954) has been the sixteenth Commissioner of Church Education of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) since August 2008 and a general authority of the church since 2005. Johnson became a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy on April 2, 2005, subsequent to a call as an area seventy in the Fifth Quorum of the Seventy in June 2003. On June 8, 2008, the church's First Presidency appointed him commissioner, effective August 1, 2008. Johnson was born in Gainesville, Florida, and was raised in Logan, Utah.
