Mixed martial arts record from Sherdog

Maro Perak (born September 23, 1982) is a Croatian professional mixed martial artist and the current MFC Heavyweight Champion. Perak trains at Gladijator Croatia in Dubrovnik alongside teammates Ajlin Ahmic, Antun Racic, Ante Delija, Hrvoje Slade and his brother Kristijan Perak.

Strength and Honor Championship

Perak fought Jeff Monson for SHC Heavyweight title and lost the match by unanimous decision. The two was set to face each other again, but fight was postponed as Perak got pneumonia and Monson signed the contract with Strikeforce.

Millenium Fighting Challange

Maro Perak participated a one day tournament in Hungary "Cage Fight - The Strongest Man in Hungary" where he defeated Serbian mixed martial artist Miodrag Petković called Pele, at that time MFC Heavyweight Champion. The win over champion earned him a title shot. Pele previously won the championship by knocking out James Thompson, former PRIDE fighter. Mean Machine was too fast for Petković tactically outplaying him and eventually winning the match by unanimous decision.

He is now scheduled to face Bob Sapp in Dubrovnik, Croatia on 16th of December 2011.
