2008 LifeLock.com 400

The 2008 LifeLock.com 400 was the nineteenth race of the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup season, and the final race under the TNT coverage for the year. It was held on July 12 of that year at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois, as the race moves to a nighttime event for the first time in the event's history. Televised pre-race activities are scheduled to start at 6:30 PM US EDT, with the radio broadcast of the race will be handled by Sirius Satellite Radio via MRN, starting at 7:15 PM US EDT. The winner of the race was Kyle Busch who drove passed Jimmie Johnson on the final restart of the race.

*The big story this week concerned Tony Stewart. The two-time series champion was given an early release from the Joe Gibbs Racing team following the 2008 season, which was announced on Wednesday (July 9th). It was then followed the next day (July 10th) by the announcement that Stewart will buy one half of the Haas CNC Racing team, and the team would be renamed Stewart Haas Racing starting in 2009.
*The owners of Dale Earnhardt, Inc. denied rumors that the team, founded by the seven-time NASCAR champion is for sale.
