Richard Kline (born April 29 1944) is an American actor and television director. He is best known for playing the sleazy neighbor and used car salesman, Larry Dallas, on the hit '70s-'80s sitcom, "Three's Company". Kline guest starred on "The Nanny" as himself in the early 1990s.

Brief Biography

Kline was born Richard Klein in New York City, New York to Leah Klein. Early Acting Career

After graduation from Northwestern, and a stint in the U.S.Army where he served in the Vietnam War, Kline became heavily involved in theater and made his professional debut in 1971 as part of the Lincoln Center Repertory Company. Regional theater productions during this period included "Chemin de Fer" (in Chicago with actor Dennis Franz), "Death of a Salesman", and "Love's Labor Lost".A classicly trained singer, Kline made his Broadway career debut in "City of Angels", a musical (1990).

Personal Life

Kline was married to the former Sandra Molloy in 1982; they divorced in 2002. They have a daughter, actress Colby Kline, who was born in 1984. Kline is currently married to Beverley Osgoode of Montreal, Canada.

He also hosted two game show pilots, Jumble in 1988 and To Tell The Truth in 1990. The latter sold to NBC but with Gordon Elliott, and later Lynn Swann and Alex Trebek, hosting. Kline's TTTT pilot did air on the East Coast as a mistake on 9/3/90, the day the show debuted. He also subbed for Charles Nelson Reilly on Sweethearts for a week of shows in December 1988. His game show celebrity appearances included $25K and $100K Pyramid, "Super Password", All New All Star Beat the Clock, and "Body Language".
