The National Housing Federation (NHF) is the umbrella organisation for social housing providers in the UK.

Contents

Function

It represents 1200 independent, not-for-profit housing associations in England. Its members provide two million affordable homes for five million people.

In 2010, the NHF won its campaign to stop energy companies charging pre-pay meter customers more than quarterly billed customers. [1].

Structure

It is situated near Holborn tube station.

It has four regions:

  • North - Manchester
  • Central - Birmingham
  • South - Bristol
  • London

History

The NHF was formerly known as the National Federation of Housing Associations, which was situated at 88 Old Street, London.
