Stagecoach in Hull is the sector of the
Stagecoach Groupthat operates buses in Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is the second largest bus fleet in the city.
Originally the council-owned Hull Corporation Transport, then later known as Kingston-upon-Hull City Transport (KHCT), it was purchased by its management - despite a hostile
East Yorkshire Motor Servicestakeover bid - until they sold to Cleveland Transitin the early 1990s - which also faced an EYMS challenge. Not long after this, Stagecoach bought Cleveland, and it rebranded as Stagecoach Kingston Upon Hull, with Stagecoach colours replacing the long-standing blue and white.
Stagecoach provide mainly local services within the City Boundary, with the addition of X62 service to
Leeds, West Yorkshireand services to Wawne, Cottingham, and Hedon, all in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
To assist the elderly and disabled, some routes have low-floor buses. Many services operate on a ten minute
Turn up and gofrequency, known as Frequento, although there are also many specialist services which may only operate once or twice a day, such at the Mecca Bingo services, and the service to the King George Dock Ferry Terminal.
Services in the main operate from the new integrated transport hub known as
Hull Paragon Interchangewhich opened on 16 September 2007, [cite press release

Although most routes operate all week, some routes do not operate on Sundays, and some only operate on Sundays. On
Bank Holidays, a Sunday service is usually operated.
Other bus services are available within the city. The main competitor is
East Yorkshire Motor Serviceswho run a comparable operation - as well as providing a greater service to the outlying villages. Other services such as Park and Ride and School Services are provided by Alpha Bus and Coach, and Ellie Rose amongst others.
