The 2008–09 season (started 19 May 2008) is APOEL's 33rd consecutive season in the Cypriot First Division. The team finished 2nd in the league in the previous season so it will be playing in the UEFA Cup. The first training session for the season took take place at the training ground at GSP Stadium on June 11, 2008.
