Mikuláš Medek

Mikuláš Medek (November 3, 1926, Praha - August 23, 1974, Praha) is one of the most important representants of modern Czech painting. Nephew of excellent impressionist Antonín Slavíček and son of general of Czechoslovak army and catholic writer Rudolf Medek, is thanks to his original expression, deepness of idea and spirituality of his work one of the leading places in Czech painting of post-war period.
