On thin ice

OTI, On Thin Ice, is Harvard's oldest improv comedy troupe. It was founded by Bridget Vucic. Another notable alum is Mike Roiff, who produced the recent film "Waitress" with Kerri Russell, and Rob Dubbin, an Emmy-nominated writer for the Colbert Report. Most OTI alums, with few exceptions, go into the entertainment business or education. OTI has traditionally had very strong ties with the Hasty Pudding Theatricals and the Harvard Lampoon, and most often has members who are part of two of the three groups at once. OTI usually ranges in size from 9-14 members and has traditionally been predominantly male by happenstance, however, at certain points in its history, it has been fully half female. Both men and women have served as the group's presidents. OTI began as a long-form improvisational troupe, performing the improvisational form known as "The Harold," and gradually became a primarily short-form group, performing games such as those seen on "Whose Line Is It, Anyway?" Currently, it performs short-form improv, and occasionally produces its own original comedic sketches as well.
