Ocean Gate School District is a community public school district that serves students in Kindergarten through sixth grade from Ocean Gate, New Jersey, United States.

Public school students in grades 7 through 12 attend the schools of the Central Regional School District, which serves students from Ocean gate and from the municipalities of Berkeley Township, Island Heights, Seaside Heights and Seaside Park.^[3] The total student population in the district is approximately 2,400, instructed by 200 staff members. The schools in the district are Central Regional Middle School for grades 7 and 8 (833 students), and Central Regional High School for grades 9 - 12 (1,494 students).

As of the 2008-09 school year, the district's one school had an enrollment of 162 students and 15.9 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.2.^[1]

The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "B", the second lowest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.^[4]
