2000 Men's Water Polo Olympic Qualifier

2000 Men's Water Polo Olympic Qualifier

The 2000 Men's Olympic Water Polo Qualifying Tournament was a tournament to decide the remaining five competing teams at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Seven teams were already qualified: Australia (host country), Hungary, Italy, Spain (1999 FINA World Cup), Croatia, United States and Kazakhstan (continental champions). The tournament was held in Hanover, Germany, from May 6 to May 14, 2000 with fifteen competing teams. Since Africa decided not to send a team the number five in Hanover also qualified for the Sydney Games.
